In a game where every millisecond counts, you can instantly make the most of your time by learning how to get 120fps on Black Ops 7 for Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC. If you’re still living the 60fps lifestyle, jumping to 120fps literally doubles the visual information your brain receives, making movement look fluid and tracking enemies feel like second nature.

Black Ops 7 is one of the fastest Call of Duty games to date and making sure you have every possible option to succeed is extremely important when fighting players using the top meta weapons. If you can make the jump, ranking up will become so simple.

Let’s walk through how to do it.

How To Get 120FPS+ On Black Ops 7 And Warzone On PS5

Firstly, you need to do two checks before you get started. The first, you have a monitor that supports 120FPS (it needs to be 120Hz or more). Secondly, you have a high-speed HDMI 2.1 cable – anything less will not support high FPS.

Once these are setup and plugged into your PS5, boot it up and do the following:

  • Settings
    • Screen and Video
      • Video Output
        • Set 120 Hz Output to Automatic
        • Then, go to Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Game Presets and set it to Performance Mode.

Once the system is ready, open BO7 and go to

  • Press the menu button on your controller
  • Settings
  • Graphics
  • Toggle 120 Hz Refresh Rate to ON.

Now you’ve got 120FPS on PlayStation 5.

How To Get 120FPS+ On Black Ops 7 And Warzone On Xbox Series X

Just like with PlayStation, you need to do two checks before you get started. The first, you have a monitor that supports 120FPS (it needs to be 120Hz or more). Secondly, you have a high-speed HDMI 2.1 cable – anything less will not support high FPS.

Once these are setup and plugged into your Xbox, boot it up and do the following:

  • Go to Settings
    • General
      • TV & Display Options.
        • Set your Refresh Rate to 120Hz.
          • If it’s grayed out, you might need to lower your resolution from 4K to 1440p.

Once the system is ready, open BO7 and go to

  • Press the menu button on your controller
  • Settings
  • Graphics
  • Toggle 120 Hz Refresh Rate to ON.

Now you’ve got 120FPS on Xbox Series X.

How To Get 120FPS+ On Black Ops 7 And Warzone On PC

PC is a bit simpler, but also more complicated. Like above, you need to have a monitor that is 120Hz or more and a high-speed HDMI 2.1 cable or Display Port cable that supports your required FPS.

Your computer may automatically adjust to the best output for your PC, but if not, do the following:

  • Right click your desktop
    • Go to Display Settings
      • Scroll down to scale and layout
        • Check the Display Resolution
          • Scroll down to Advanced Display
            • Click the drop down on the ‘Choose a refresh rate’

You game will automatically display at the resolution your PC is set to. However, you do need to be aware of some FPS related graphical settings in the game that can prevent you from reaching higher frames.

Be sure to turn off Ray Tracing, lower shadow quality, volumetric lighting and particle effets – basically all things that aren’t necessary or helpful in gunfights and general play.

Upscale where possible, use DLSS (NVIDIA) or FSR (AMD) and set it to quality or balanced.

Kill the Ray Tracing: This is the biggest FPS killer in BO7. Turn off Ray Traced Reflections and Shadows immediately. You won’t notice them in a gunfight, but your GPU certainly will.
