Season 3 of Warzone will introduce a brand new public in-match event for the first time in a long time. You may have even forgotten all about these mini moments in Battle Royale games. So you might be wondering what is the Flashpoint public in-match event in Warzone is and how does it work?

With this being added to Warzone’s core Battle Royale experience, let’s see what it’s all about.

What Is The Flashpoint Public In-Match Event In Warzone And How Does It Work?

In-match events were added all the way back in 2020, during Warzone’s debut year. These were generally well-received and added a bit of spice to a sometimes lack-luster mid-game.

Some of the more classic ones include Jailbreak, where, after a minute’s notice, all players who have been eliminated are released back into the match. As well as Fire Sale, where ost of the items at the Buy Station are heavily discounted.

The Flashpoint event utilises the new Launch Pad in Verdansk. When this event occurs, a random location is designated as the target, initiating a countdown until the chosen location is bombarded by a missile strike, eliminating all players in the area and leaving a damaging cloud in its wake that covers the immediate area until eventually dissipating.

So to clarify, the Launch Pad POI is not the location where this happens, but where the missile strikes are launched from. The event is also completely random; it may or may not occur during your game.

It creates an interesting scenario for players to battle it out and take control of this free opportunity to grab lots of kills. Particularly if you want to flush out enemies and advance on a particular area of the map.

This event will be added to Verdansk playlists exclusively from the launch of Season 3.
