We’ve gathered a full list of all Black Ops 6 multiplayer maps so you can do your homework on them before jumping into the game itself.

Multiplayer has been the leading focus for Call of Duty games since 2007 and while a lot of maps are themed after the campaign, the multiplayer is starting to shape the way the game is played.

The success of Call of Duty’s multiplayer mode is determined by the maps it hosts for frantic action to take place.

So here’s what you need to know about all of the upcoming battlegrounds.

All Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Maps

Activision has confirmed that there are 16 core maps at launch and that these are “brand new multiplayer maps” and not remasters.

This includes 12 core 6v6 maps that many will get to grips with across a multitude of modes.

The other four maps are made up of four Strike maps, which are “unique, stand-alone locations designed to be played in 2v2 or Face Off 6v6 matches.”

Here are the confirmed maps we have so far:

  • Babylon (Playable at Beta, Weekend 2)
  • Derelict (Playable at Beta)
  • Lowtown (Available at Launch)
  • Payback (Available at Launch)
  • Protocol (Training Map at Beta, MP Map Available at Launch)
  • Red Card (Available at Launch)

Call of Duty’s official blog goes on to say:

“Many feature innovations on the classic three-lane map design, with quick time to engagement, sized in the small to medium-sized range for the right amount of complexity for meaningful player choice and to keep the action flowing and the pacing optimal.”

“Maps intentionally support gameplay diversity, as supporting different playstyles is the foundation of how the studio builds these maps, even up to professional levels of Ranked play.”

“Multiplayer maps each have their own story and all take place after the Campaign, so players will be able to further explore maps with a Multiplayer lens after they’ve played through.”

The three new maps are likely to be the ones featured in the Beta.

It’s no surprise seeing a Black Ops game with Nuketown, it has featured in every Black Ops game to date.

Treyarch have also mentioned that the maps will follow the campaign, meaning they are based off of campaign areas – expect maps based on the two only confimed missions so far (‘Capital Station’ and ‘Iraq’).

A recent PS4 build was leaked detailing all of the maps that could be in Black Ops 6:

  • Babylon
  • Canals
  • Catacomb
  • Dig
  • Firing Range 2
  • Flat
  • Rewind
  • Russian Base
  • Scud
  • Skyline
  • Socotra 2 (Yemen)
  • Stakeout
  • Stealth
  • Strip mall
  • Train Graveyard
  • Veiled
  • Vorkuta
  • Vorkuta Mine
  • Gala
  • Hacienda Alt
  • Island
  • Protocol
  • Pillage
  • Radar
  • Red Card

Some of the maps sound familiar, while others sound like potential duplicates e.g. Train Graveyard sounds a lot like Derelict and Vorkuta Mine sounds like Pit. Perhaps this is beause they are the 2v2 Face-Off maps?

DLC Maps

New maps will be released as seasonal content, once again. Usually providing 5-6 seasons and anywhere between 15-20 new maps in a year.

The likelihood is this will feature some remastered maps as well with a few new maps too.

This will extend to Cold War multiplayer maps and some legacy Black Ops maps too.
