So let’s kit you out with the best audio settings.

I’ve tried and tested all of the audio settings possible and the tried and tested Bass Boost is the best.
It simply elevates the sound of your surroundings and while the sound is a bit suspect sometimes in this game, it’s the best option.
Many have suggested Home Theater is the best option, particularly on PC, as it makes ambient sounds softer thus making footsteps sound louder
I’ve not found this to be the case, but if you were to choose between the two, I would test both of these options and see what you prefer.

Your Master Game Volume isn’t super relevant as it’s just the overall volume of all your mixes together. It’s more of a tailoring to how loud you want to overall volume. This is obviously affected by facotrs like the natural volume of your headset/TV and how audible you want the game chat to be.
Of course, most headsets can be adjusted independently so this may not be a big need to adjust.
However, if you use a party chat system on a console or like to listen to the Battle Chatter, you should turn this to a comfortable volume.
Anywhere between 20-50 is where I tend to have it if I can’t mix the sounds appropriately (depending on the game mode and the volume of those talking).
Outside of this, turn the Gameplay Music Volume to 0 – this isn’t necessary, this is just the random injections of music that play when a game is getting serious.
I like to have my Dialogue volume at 100 because it can sometimes give good information from the Operators in-game about what’s going on. As a bonus, I’d recommend having Subtitles turned on.
Effects Volume is essentially every important sound within the game, so leave that at 100.
Cinematic Music Volume is, again, needless music (usually at the start of games) to set the tone; it’s completely unnecessary.
Of course, if you want to utilise Voice Chat, turn Voice Chat on and Game Voice Channel to ‘All Lobby’. If you turn on ‘Last Words Voiec Chat’ you can hear a few moment of chatter from your enemy. It’s great to be able to give you an idea of where people might be if they accidentally let it slip where they are, but it’s also in general just a good indication that someone is near.
It’s also worth pointing you can hear your opponent when you use them as a Body Shield.
I set this volume to 25, which is the default. In some lobbies, you may find enemies just leave music blaring through their mic or their communication is too distracting compared to your teammates. If this is the case, turn the volume right down to 5-10 or even turn it off and just have the indication that players are nearby.
