Season 6 has dropped and you’ll want to get the best audio settings in best audio settings in MW3 and Warzone for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC so you can top the leaderboards and claim bragging rights against others.
Without the right sound, you’ll struggle to survive on hectic maps like Rebirth Island and all the new offerings.
So let’s kit you out with the best audio settings.
Best Audio Settings In MW3
- Audio Mix
- Headphone Bass Boost
I’ve tried and tested all of the audio settings possible and the tried and tested Bass Boost is the best.
It simply elevates the sound of your surroundings and while the sound is a bit suspect sometimes in this game, it’s the best option.
Many have suggested Home Theater is the best option, particularly on PC, as it makes ambient sounds softer thus making footsteps sound louder
I’ve not found this to be the case, but if you were to choose between the two, I would test both of these options and see what you prefer.
- Volumes
- Master Game Volume
- 50
- Gameplay Music Volume
- 0
- Dialogue Volume
- 100
- Effects Volume
- 100
- Cinematic Music Volume
- 0
- War Tracks Volume
- 0
- Gameplay Music Volume
- 50
- Voice Chat Volume
- 40
- Master Game Volume
- Voice Chat
- On
- Game Voice Channel
- All Lobby
Your Master Game Volume isn’t super relevant as it’s just the overall volume of all your mixes together. Of course, most headsets can be adjusted independently so this may not be a big need to adjust.
However, if you use a party chat system on a console or like to listen to the Battle Chatter, you should turn this to a comfortable volume.
Anywhere between 20-50 is where I tend to have it if I can’t mix the sounds.
Outside of this, turn the Gameplay Music Volume to 0 – this isn’t necessary, this is just the random injections of music that play when a game is getting serious.
I like to have my Dialogue volume at 100 because it can sometimes give good information from your the Operators in-game about what’s going on.
As a bonus, I’d recommend having Subtitles turned on.
Effects Volume is essentially every important sound within the game, so leave that at 100.
Cinematic Music Volume is, again, needless music (usually at the start of games) to set the tone; it’s completely unnecessary.
War Tracks Volume is the music that plays when you’re in a vehicle – again completely unnecessary.
Of course, if you want to utilise Proximity Chat, you need to have Voice Chat on and Game Voice Channel set to ‘All Lobby’. It’s great to be able to give you an idea of where people might be if they accidentally let it slip where they are, but it’s also in general just a good indication that someone is near.
I set this volume to 40. In some lobbies, you may find enemies just leave music blaring through their mic or their communication is too distracting compared to your teammates. If this is the case, turn the volume right down to 15-20 or even turn it off and just have the indication that players are nearby.
Some other little things I would recommend:
- Subtitles Size
- Default
- Subtitles Background Opacity
- 0
- Reduce Tinnitus Sound
- On
- Hit Marker Sound Effects
- Classic
Go forth and utilise these settings in Ranked Play!
