Prestiging is another core mechanic in Call of Duty games and faithful players are going to be happy about the way it works this year. But how does the Black Ops 6 Prestige system work?
Here’s all you need to know about how it operates.
Is Classic Prestige Returning To Black Ops 6?
At last, the classic Call of Duty prestige system is returning after a notable absence.
As noted by GAME ENGAGE the “classic” prestige system saw players work through 55 levels before having the option to start fresh at level 1, this was in exchange for a new prestige badge/emblem next to their rank; all stats carried forward.
In later games, players were given extra custom class slots for doing this, given unique emblems and calling cards and even given the opportunity to reset their stats.
While this was initially limited to 10 prestige, in later games it was extended to 15+.
Call of Duty has now decided to revert to this classic model, rather than the current seasonal prestige system that is simply made up of levels.
This sytem will NOT be implemented into the beta.
How Many Prestiges Are There?
Black Ops 6 will feature 10 Prestige, with players grinding through levels 1-55 in each prestige.
Once you reach the end, you’ll unlock Prestige Master. This is an additional 1,000 levels to climb through, and a classified reward to uncover.
You can progress at your own pace without ever being slowed down by seasonal-level caps.
What Will We Get For Prestiging?
Details on these are scarce at this time, but Call of Duty has confirmed integrations are going bigger and better with more rewards than ever before, along with some new surprises you may not be expecting.
Staying true to the Classic Prestige model, Prestiging will lock all items for you to go ahead and unlock all over again.
Each will have a valuable set of rewards to earn and equip.
