If you’ve spent any time in the latest installment of the franchise, you’ve likely felt how intense and “sweaty” the game is, despite the Modern matchmaking being tuned down. So you may want to know how to get bot lobbies and easier games in Black Ops 7.
If you’re looking for a break from the constant bunny-hopping, immaculate gun tracking and the excessive meta weapon spam you can actually take a break from all of this.
That means you can focus on what matter, enjoying the game and ranking up.
How To Get Bot Lobbies And Easier Games In Black Ops 7
There are a few well known methods to getting easier games and less skilled opponents. Here are a few you should try:
Reverse Boosting
The game’s Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM) looks at your K/D ratio, score per minute, win-loss ratio and accuracy to place you in a bracket.
So, unfortunately, you’ll need to tank your stats, but it is highly effective at doing its job. More often than not, you won’t need to do too much. 5-10 games should do the trick.
This may only work temporarily however, so you may need to take more drastic measures and do this repeatedly for a few hours or even days.
Joining Low Level Players And Two Boxing
If you want to get into bot lobbies without ruining your main account’s stats, Two Boxing is a great option and has become easier in the Modern day since Call of Duty became cross-platform. This requires two consoles (or a PC and a console) and a secondary “dummy” account.
- Create a brand-new account on your second device.
- Play a few games on that account and perform as poorly as possible to ensure its “hidden MMR” is at the bottom of the barrel.
- Have the dummy account search for a match.
- Once it joins a lobby, join that session with your main account.
- Back the dummy account out of the search once your main is in.
Because the lobby was found based on the dummy account’s terrible stats, you’ll be playing against beginners and “bots,” allowing you to have an easy time.
You can join the dummy account and then search, but the effects will not be as dramatic. You also don’t need to lower the dummy accounts stats, it will again just result in better results.
Get A Fresh Account
With the previous point in mind, you could get a fresh account and play from there. Having a new account will avoid stricter matchmaking, temporarily. If you were to spend some time reverse boosting you will have these effects last longer.
At the end of the day, a second account wouldn’t be a bad idea to be able to mess around and play more relaxed games.
Play In The Morning
Playing in the morning is almost certainly going to produce lower skilled lobbies. This is for two reasons.
The first reason is there is a lower population on in the morning, which means there is less chance of encountering sweatier players.
The second reason is a younger and more casual crowd are usually playing. Younger, less experienced players are usually up earlier and jumping on before school. You’ll also come into contact with the older crowd who are up earlier before work and getting a few games in before they start the day.
Use A VPN
Routing your connection through a different region, where it is currently the early morning, changes the player pool. The game struggles to find a perfect skill match due to the low population.
When the player pool is thin, the matchmaker prioritizes connection speed over skill rating. This often results in much “relaxed” matchmaking than normal, where you’ll encounter a wide variety of skill levels rather than a room full of clones of yourself.
Play Less Populated Modes
With a similar concept, lower populations mean less options for the matchmaking forcing you into games with the best connection.
