If you’re playing Call of Duty at the moment and someone is calling you out, you may be wondering how to type in chat in Black Ops 7.

Perhaps those players are using sweaty meta weapons and you just want to relax and rank up. Maybe your squad isn’t pulling their weight in game and you need to give them a talking to? There’s a number of reasons why you may want to unleash your inner keyboard warrior.

So let’s recap what you’ll need to do.

How To Type In Chat On PC

Let’s start with PC first, there rae a few different chat options here – so grab your keyboard!

To talk to everyone in the lobby (All Chat), you simply need to press Shift+Enter. Then you can type your message and press Enter again to send it.

If you just want to talk to your team (Team Chat), you simply need to press Enter.

To cycle channels, simply hit the Tab button to change between Match, Team and Party.

Of course, these are all assuming you are using the default keybinds and haven’t changed them.

How To Type In Chat On Console

If you’re playing on PlayStation or Xbox, it’s a bit more tricky as you don’t have a physical keyboard.

You’ll need to press the Start/Menu Button and scroll to the Chat Channel tab.

You then need to click the appropriate channel you want to type in and once there you’ll see a chat box. Once you select the chat section, a virtual keyboard will appear allowing you to type your message.

This can be a really slow and painful way to do it in a game that requires you to be quick and constantly at it, so plugging in a keyboard may not be a bad idea as the game does support keyboards.
