Call of Duty’s next installment in the Black Ops series will see plenty of new and familiar scorestreaks. So many are wondering what Black Ops 6 killstreaks and scorestreaks will feature.
Killstreaks have been a huge part of the franchise since they were first introduced back in COD4 and remain a staple part of the series.
They’ve seen many changes over the years, including the number of streaks you can choose from, how you earn them when you earn them and more.
Black Ops titles focus more on Scorestreaks than Killstreaks, rewarding players for their actions (score) in a match that isn’t just about killing people.
When you capture flags, plant bombs, grab assists – these all contribute to your scorestreaks. You’ll also gain more points for objective-based kills.
Here are all of the killstreaks that we know about in the next Call of Duty.
Black Ops 6 Scorestreaks
Leaks have surfaced on Twitter as to the supposed Scorestreaks, or at least some of them, that will appear in Black Ops 6.
The leak indicates that there are a number of returning killstreaks, but a few new ones too.
- Scout Pulse (400 score)
- Radar ping that reveals nearby enemies on the user’s minimap.
- RC-XD (450 score)
- Deploys a small remote-controlled, remote detonated explosive vehicle.
- UAV (675 score)
- Aerial recon drone that reveals enemy locations on the minimap for your team.
- Counter UAV (700 score)
- Launch a drone that scrambles enemy minimaps.
- Watchdog Helo (1,100 score)
- Watchdog Helo that engages enemies and pings enemy locations for your team.
- Hellstorm (1200 score)
- Control a long-range missile with brake and boost capabilities and secondary missiles.
- Interceptors (1250 score)
- Call in a fighter jet squadron that eliminates enemy air targets.
- Interceptors (1250)
- Fighter jets will now perform two sweeps, taking out smaller Scorestreaks (like UAVs) in the first pass. Larger targets won’t go down until the secondary pass, giving players more time to counter with their own Interceptors for some cinematic dogfights!
- Chopper Gunner (1600 score)
- Take control of the door gun turret on an assault chopper.
- Interceptors (1250)
- Fighter jets will now perform two sweeps, taking out smaller Scorestreaks (like UAVs) in the first pass. Larger targets won’t go down until the secondary pass, giving players more time to counter with their own Interceptors for some cinematic dogfights!
We can assume those familiar and returning killstreaks will work in the same way they have done in the past.
Notably, the only new streak so far is the Gas Strike. Most streaks appear to be returning from past instalments within the franchise.
What’s interesting about this year’s Scorestreaks is that they will reset upon death and they will not loop. This comes from Treyarch’s associate director of design Matt Scronce who said “we really want to avoid scorestreak spam. That’s something I personally just really don’t like. I know a lot of players don’t like it.”
Our first look at these in action will be during the beta.
