The Black Ops 6 beta is out and as players get stuck into it they may have encountered a Dev Error. As a result, we’re going to show you how to fix Dev Error 10493 in Black Ops 6’s beta.

It’s no surprise that a few bugs and errors will occur. After all, that’s what a beta is for – figuring out where the bugs are and tweaking them for the full release.

If you have run into the Dev Error 10493, it’s going to stop you from playing the game; which is frustrating. Many are hoping this will fixed in a future patch. So let us take a look at what you can do to resolve this issue.

How To Fix Dev Error 10493 In Black Ops 6’s Beta

Restart

The first and most obvious is restarting the game or console. Close out of the game app first and if this doesn’t work do a hard reset on the console.

Check For An Update

If this isn’t working, try checking for an update with the game/update. Sometimes restarting the console can prompt the game to update or if an update has been downloaded but not installed, this could prompt it to do so.

Reinstall And Restore

Another thing you can try is to reinstall the game itself. The beta comes as a separate file from the Call of Duty app, so deleting the beta and installing it again can help.

For PlayStation users, an option is to press ‘Restore License’ on the game to see if it helps.

Clear The Game’s Reserved Space

You may have a corrupt file if you’re on Xbox.

Under ‘Saved Data’ for Black Ops 6, go to the ‘Reserved Space‘. This should be around 10 to 12GB and clear it by hitting ‘Clear Reserved Space’. When done, restart your Xbox.

On Steam, open the Library and select Call of Duty, then select ‘Properties’. Under ‘Installed Files’, click Verify integrity of game files. A check will be performed and then you’ll be prompted to download any corrupt or missing files. Relaunch the game.

Check Internet Connection

The final option could be with your internet – check your router and give it a reset. If you’re still not having success, turn your DNS settings to Manual and change the Primary to 1.1.1.1 and the Secondary to 1.0.0.1.
