In Season 3 of Black Ops 7, zombie slayers can experience a new mode as they wait for the hotly anticipated Totenreich BO7 map in the mid-season update. Zombie Battle will give players something to keep them engaged – so what is Zombie Battle and how does it work in Black Ops 7?

With Zombies players being vocal about the lack of Zombies content, Treyarch has certainly stepped up the game in this new season. While Zombies lacks any form of Ranked play, like Multiplayer and Warzone, this is the closest you can expect to get to it for now (not to mention there are rewards on offer).

With that in mind, what can we expect from this new Zombies mode?

What Is Zombie Battle And How Does It Work In Black Ops 7?

Zombie Battle’s premise is somewhat given away in the name. You will face off against three players who share the same space and fight off hordes of zombies.

A similar mode was created in Black Ops 2 called ‘Grief’, in which two teams of four would compete. It looks like Treyarch are finally showing some love to those who prefer playing solo.

All games take place in the Starting Room of the main BO7 zombies maps, which will also include Paradox Junction, as it is being added in Season 3.

There are some notable rules:

• Players can not damage or affect each other with Bullets, equipment, scorestreaks or Field Upgrades.
• Door buys are restricted
• Exfils are restricted
• GobbleGums are restricted

So you’re stuck with your frenemies in the Starting Room with limited opportunities to get the edge on each other.

Each player has a specific horde of Zombies to take down, which are indicated by their eye colour to match your player icon/colour. If you ignore these zombies, they will get faster, stronger and even steal your health.

Zombie Battle Rewards

The last player standing wins, earning a Whimsical GobbleGum after Round 5, with a chance to earn two Whimsicals at Round 10+, and two guaranteed Whimsicals at Round 15+.

The devs describe this mode as being finished in under 10 minutes if you aren’t focused on taking down your zombies.
