Black Ops Royale is Call of Duty Warzone’s newest mode and it’s doing things very differently. With that said, one thing remains – the rarities associated with weapons. But how does weapon rarity work in Black Ops Royale?

The current weapon meta becomes even more important when there are seemingly different versions of each weapon. One weapon may go from being terrible to the best in the game once all attachments are added, and another could start out being incredible, but fall off in comparison to others.

Season 2 Reloaded of Black Ops 7 will change the game for Warzone, so let’s explore what weapon rarities do in this new mode.

How Does Weapon Rarity Work In Black Ops Royale?

Weapon Rarity is one of two core weapon systems in Black Ops Royale, alongside Archetypes.

In a lot of ways, the ressemble the very familiar system that has been present since it first released in 2020.

The Basics

Weapons have a rarity associated with them. Starting at Common (Grey), then Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple) and Legendary (Orange).

The rarer the weapon, the more predetermined Attachments there are on the weapon.

  • Common (Grey): One Attachment.
  • Uncommon (Green): Two Attachments.
  • Rare (Blue): Three Attachments.
  • Epic (Purple): Four Attachments.
  • Legendary (Orange): Five Attachments

Getting More Attachments

A weapon’s five predetermined attachments are displayed on your HUD, so you can see what attachments you will get for it. The ones that are currently on the weapon are coloured in, while those that are yet to be acquired are greyed out.

You can increase the weapon’s rarity by adding more attachments, which is done by getting an attachment kit. Attachment kits are lootable and are the only way to upgrade a weapon; the two are linked.

So you can either find rare weapons in the map to use or you can handcraft them.

Bonuses

Each attachment provides unique benefits, as it always has done, but weapons also have global benefits as their rarity is upgraded.
